This policy explains what International Moving Calculator collects when you use our international moving cost calculator, why we collect it, and what choices you have. It applies to this website only.

Information we collect

You can use the cost calculator itself without giving us anything. We only collect personal information when you choose to request a quote. In that case we collect:

• Contact details — your name, email address, and phone number.
• Move details — origin city, destination region, home size, shipping method, preferred move date, and the estimate range shown to you.
• Optional details — vehicle shipping, storage, packing and insurance preferences, special items, and any notes you add.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we do not collect payment card details through this site.

How we use it, and who we pass it to

The cost calculator is anonymous. You can use it as often as you like without telling us anything about yourself — we only receive personal information if you choose to submit the quote request form.

When you do submit it, we pass your details to a professional moving company so that they can contact you about your move. That is the entire purpose of the form and the only reason we collect this information. We are paid by that company for the introduction, which is how this site is funded — you are never charged anything.

We do not sell your information, we do not pass it to anyone beyond the moving company handling your enquiry, and we do not use it to market anything unrelated to the request you made. If you would rather not have your details passed on, simply do not submit the form — the estimate itself costs you nothing and requires nothing.

Service providers

This site is hosted on Cloudflare, which also stores submitted quote requests, and those requests are delivered to us by email through Resend. Both process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages get used. It is cookie-free and does not fingerprint your device, build a profile of you, or track you across other websites. We see aggregate numbers — how many people viewed a page, roughly where in the world they were, which site sent them — never anything that identifies you individually. That is also why this site shows you no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

Storage in your browser

When you submit a quote request, a copy is also saved in your own browser's local storage as a safeguard against a failed submission. It stays on your device, is not readable by us remotely, and you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Retention

We keep quote requests for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations, then delete them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under the California Consumer Privacy Act and, for EU or UK residents, the GDPR — you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for asking.

Who operates this site

This site is operated as International Moving Calculator. We are an estimating and referral service — we are not a moving company, and we do not pack, ship, or clear customs ourselves. Moves are carried out by the moving company we refer you to.

A registered business entity is currently being formed; this policy will be updated with its details, including a registered address, once that is complete.
